War Vet gets 5 Million after Motorcycle accident

After fighting as a soldier for the United States Army overseas, our 42 year old client returned to Miami without any major physical injuries. Unfortunately, on his way back from a birthday dinner for his mom on Bird Road in Miami Florida, he entered an intersection and was hit in the middle of his motorcycle by an attorney driving a Porsche and attempting to take a left hand turn. He ended up in the ICU for over 40 days and in the hospital for a total of over 100 days. He suffered through twelve (12) operations, and remains wheelchair bound. Insurance carrier (1) for the Porsche tendered its entire policy within the first two months following the accident ($250,000). The excess insurance carrier (2) for the Porsche driver was not as cooperative. Following extensive forensic work by our Firm's accident reconstruction expert, and tireless work for the client by our Firm, we were successful in settling with the excess carrier for ninety-five (95%) percent of the excess policy ($4,750,000). Total settlement was Five ($5,000,000) Million Dollars. The Porsche driver claimed comparative negligence by our client. Both our client and The Fischman Law Firm, P.A. were extremely happy with the result.
